I wanted to draw a space that felt like summer vacations at
my grandma's when I was a child. It escalated to something else.
The more you look at it the less sense the perspective makes, but I like
it when things look a bit goofy. Also I ditched the idea of making a complex
border like I usually do with my big illustrations, so I could focus on
the interior design more. Not sure if I made the right choice though.
(EDIT 13/09/25: I added Aristea)
My characters Feride (upper left), Nabila (upper right), Paraskevi
(left-down) and Aristea (right down). I'm writing
their character profiles but it's taking forever. I'm going to put their
descriptions on the PROJECTS page after I finish.
Not my best work, I believe that my non-oc art is better than my
oc related art in general. However, I want to make stories
too and not just draw pretty pictures.
A little comic with Feride when she was a child (that woman I draw sometimes
with the bangs and the big smile) and her brother. I'm steadily getting more
confident in drawing comics.
I've mentioned this before, but every time I make a comic with a punchline
there's a voice in my head going: "Explain the joke!!!
Noone is going to understand it, it's too confusing because you can't write!!!
Insert Peter Griffin explaining it!!!" and each time I choose to ignore it,
for better or worse.
Also I now realize that 35 celsius is a bit too hot, 30 would suffice for the joke to land.
I fear that my art is too cutesy sometimes, which is not necessarily a bad thing but
I wanted to try something new, so I made this. It's still cute but there are some darker
elements than usual. Even if I wanted to draw gore I wouldn't be able to, so this is
pretty much as far as I'm able to get out of my comfort zone. I really like the end result.
The Meet The Artist meme. Basically everything I've written here is
also written on the ABOUT page, I made this for my instagram account.
I'm very unhappy with this drawing, even though it has elements
I like. Making this helped me understand what I want to avoid doing
in my art in the future, so I guess it was worth doing.
I hope this doesn't sound too whiny.
Another triton, this time a woman. I wanted to make this look like a mosaic
but I couldn't figure out how to do so, so I gave up and put a concrete texture png
in the background. Some tritons were depicted with wings and some even
with lion legs in ancient art. Zero functionality but 10/10 character design, if you ask me.
My first drawing of 2025. Tritons are very fun to draw and there is not much art of
them out there, even though ancient greek mythology is very popular in certain
art spaces. There are various ways to draw them too, this particular one
is called Icthyocentaur. I used art from the Archaic period mostly as inspiration to draw this.
