This is one of my favourite pieces by Tassos, I love this type of stylization. Art like this has inspired me to draw backgrounds even if I'm not technically skilled to do so.
And thus, this is the last entry of the Archive. I can't believe I actually managed to do this for 12 consecutive months...

I love how vibrant the yellow is and how good it looks when it's combined with blue...Plus the lineart looks like it was made with ballpoint pen and it just makes it even more charming, to me at least.

Ceramic art from pre-columbian Peru again, but this time from Nazca culture.
The thing that impresses me the most about this is the lineart. It's so smooth and consistently thick, I love how it looks...It must have been quite the challenge to pull something like this on a curved surface.

I don't know what it depicts exactly and it doesn't help that all info I can find about it online is in Dutch.
Nevertheless it is truly beautful, the colours and the texture of the pencil give it a dream-like vibe.

To my surprise, this piece is in great condition! Any other coptic textile I've tried to find online is incredibly damaged, because of how sensitive to time fabric is. I've got to mention how cute the face is, I love the thick eyebrows and the chin.

I don’t know where to start with this… Trying to comment on art can be very hard, like, I want to say something interesting but I just look at it and my brain goes ooooh beautiful colours oooh beautiful shapes. I hope you enjoy this too, we could use more floor mosaics in today’s world, I think.
(At first, when I read the title, I thought it was mislabeled, but then I remembered that people back then would get baptized as full grown adults in most cases.)

I'm in love with her expression and how the the hand is drawn...
Painting traditionally with watercolours/acrylics or any of that stuff was my enemy back in school, I never figured out how to do it right and I'd always make a huge mess. If I gave it another try, I'd like to try out something like this.

I'm very font of this artists's engravings and this one in particular caught my eye, look at how fun the demons look. I'm also curious about its title and what's the story being told here. I tried to find more information but didn't find anything, sadly. The mystery adds to its charm,I guess.

I'm not the biggest fan of Byzantine art but I love this and the whole group of medallions it's part of. The vibrant colours and the patterns make them look modern but they were actually made more than 900 years ago! I really like the halo in particular, I've never seen a blue one before.

Lately I've grown an interest in ceramic art and by searching around online I stumbled upon Moche ceramics. This one in particular stood out to me. It feels like a mix of the macabre and familial love...It's very sweet.
